New integration: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
We’re excited to introduce our integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, a big step forward for rental businesses looking to connect their operations and financial systems more seamlessly.
As rental companies grow, it’s common to move towards more specialised tools: HireHop handles the day-to-day running of the rental side (quotes, bookings, availability, inventory), while systems like Business Central manage the financials.
That setup works well, but without a direct connection between the two, it can create extra work behind the scenes.
Data gets entered more than once, figures need to be checked and matched, and over time, small inconsistencies can start to creep in.
Bringing everything into sync
With this integration in place, key data now flows directly between HireHop and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including:
- Invoices, credit notes, payments and deposits
- Purchase orders
- Customer and contact information
- Nominal codes, tax codes and bank accounts
- Financial dimensions and accounting structures
The integration can run in real-time or on a scheduled (buffered) basis, depending on how your team prefers to manage data flow.
This means the financial data in Business Central stays aligned with what’s happening operationally in HireHop, without the need for manual re-entry or reconciliation.
What this integration improves in practice
For teams using both systems, the difference is immediate:
- Less time spent on manual data entry
- Fewer discrepancies between systems
- A smoother workflow between operations and finance
Without integration, even relatively simple tasks like raising an invoice can involve multiple manual steps: creating the record, finding the correct customer, assigning tax and nominal codes, setting financial dimensions, and checking everything is correct.
With the integration in place, that entire process happens automatically in the background.
HireHop continues to manage rental operations, while Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central handles financial reporting and accounting — with both systems kept in sync.
In practice
We’ve already seen this integration in use with our customers, where connecting HireHop with Business Central has helped reduce manual data handling between operations and finance.
For teams managing both systems, having that data flow automatically removes a significant amount of repetitive admin, particularly when dealing with high volumes of invoices and financial data.
Built for growing rental businesses
This integration is particularly valuable for businesses that are already using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, operate across multiple users, depots, or locations, and are looking to reduce admin as they scale. Because every business runs slightly differently, the integration can be tailored to fit your workflows and accounting setup.
A more connected way to work
This integration is a behind-the-scenes improvement that makes a noticeable difference to how everything runs day-to-day.
